- David Geffen's superyacht 'Rising Sun' vandalised by protesters
- A group of environmentalists threw buckets of paint over the side of the boat.
- The yacht has 82 staterooms, a gym, a basketball court, a wine cellar and a cinema.
Kris Jenner and longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble were on a luxury private yacht with friends when they were targeted by climate change vandals in Barcelona on Sunday.
The 68-year-old “mom leader” said she recently spent one-on-one time with her 13 grandchildren so she doesn't “really get to know” them, but she was dining on the deck of the boat when she was splattered with black paint.
Onlookers said a group of environmental activists threw buckets of paint over the side of the boat, some of whom held signs reading “flammable fossils” and “tourism”, in the presence of police.
The $300 million yacht belongs to billionaire David Geffen, 80, who was on board with his boyfriend Donovan Michaels, 30.
Geffen made his fortune as a co-founder of DreamWorks and a record executive.
Jenner kept her cool throughout the fracas in a trendy black and white tracksuit and designer sunglasses.
Her longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble, 43, looked relaxed in a grey T-shirt and black cargo shorts, and elevated his look with a gold watch.
Geffen, 81, wore a brown sunhat with navy accents and a black long-sleeved shirt as he embraced another friend.
It is not yet known whether any charges have been filed against the activists who threw paint at the boat.
Only a small area on the left front of the boat was dirty, but it was quickly wiped clean.
Rising Sun is about 138 metres (453 feet) long. Its production costs are estimated to be at least $300 million (£250 million), but some reports suggest it could cost as much as $590 million (£498 million).
The superyacht was originally built by Germany's Lürssen at its Bremen shipyard in 2004 for Oracle CEO Larry Ellison.
The ship has a whopping 82 cabins, as well as a gym, basketball court, wine cellar and cinema.
Geffen, the entrepreneur who founded the film studio DreamWorks and several record labels, bought a half stake in the superyacht in late 2006 and has owned it since 2010.
The tycoon has hosted numerous celebrities on the ship, including President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Springsteen, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey and Orlando Bloom.
