The two City Council members have teamed up to create special tours of the first floor of the Hayes House, focusing on the life of First Lady Lucy Hayes. The 20-minute tours will take place at 6 and 7 p.m.

The Teen Museum Council's exhibits focus on President Hayes' legal career, the fashion of First Lady Lucy Hayes and historical music.
“We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to partner with the NAACP's Juneteenth Celebration 2024,” said Alina Hart, Hays Presidential Education Coordinator. “This collaboration felt like a natural progression to highlight our goal of helping today's youth become leaders in their communities. By teaming on this event, we hope to create an open space for young people to take ownership and have a voice in the field of history and heritage.”
The Teen Museum Council is a new program that brings area high school students together monthly to learn about the museum field. The students toured Hays Presidential employees at work and visited the Toledo Museum of Art to meet staff.
