On the night of May 26, an Israeli airstrike on a tent camp in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah killed 45 people, drawing international condemnation.
A few days after the brutal attack, several prominent figures in Indian cinema, including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, took to social media to show their solidarity with Palestine.
Alia shared her story on Instagram calling for peace and safety for women and children in Rafah with the caption “#AllEyesOnRafah.”

Radhika Apte also took to Instagram to show her support for Palestine. She shared a post saying that the Israeli attack on Rafah violated the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling and was against international law.

Pakistani actor Mahira Khan also voiced her support for Palestine on social media. Sharing several pictures of Rafa, Mahira wrote on Instagram, “People burnt alive!!! Who are these people who are not deeply shaken by the sight of a burnt decapitated baby? This power-hungry world has failed you.”
