The first year journalism student from De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester made a glamorous appearance on the red carpet at the recent BAFTA Television Awards, mingling with the stars.
Last summer, Precious Asa won the prestigious BAFTA Young Presenters competition and has since embarked on an incredible journey in TV.

Winning the competition opened up many doors for her, allowing her to network with some of the biggest names in the industry and land several presenting roles.
Part of his role involved meeting, greeting and interviewing stars, including Ant and Dec, as they arrived on the red carpet at the P&O Cruises BAFTA Television Awards ceremony, which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, May 12.
Reflecting on the experience, Precious said: “I had a really good time interviewing all these different celebrities on the carpet.”
“Everybody was in a really good mood. I'm excited to see what happens next.”

In addition to her red carpet duties, Precious will also have exclusive access to broadcast journalists and presenters at various BAFTA events.
She is a first year student studying Journalism at De Montfort University and the valuable experience she has gained through her BAFTA role has supported her academic pursuits and enhanced her practical knowledge in the field.
Precious' burgeoning career has also included presenting at Cheltenham Literature Festival and providing content for Children's Mental Health Week, where she interviewed up-and-coming talents Taz Skyler and Will Gao.

Additionally, she co-hosted the Young BAFTA Showcase at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.
As the end of her first year approaches, Precious said she is thriving in her journalism course and is seizing every opportunity that comes her way.
