Human Powered Health Grand Opening
Human Powered Health invited the public to check out their completely renovated space on the second floor of 77 Central Street in Wellesley Square (with amazing views of the Boston Marathon course). A crowd of incredibly healthy people gathered, focusing their full attention on the fancy fitness assessment equipment while walking past displays of wraps and cookies.
The idea behind Human Powered Fitness is to collect sports science data, data, and more data to help athletes, from recreational to professional, achieve their goals. A range of tests allow athletes to learn about their anaerobic capacity, cognitive response, gait, resting metabolic rate, body composition, hydration, sweating, and more. Team members provide insights and recommendations based on the results of each individual assessment.
We were a little intimidated by the sight, but the staff – physiologists, physiotherapists, masseurs – reassured us and assured us that no matter how far we had come from our glory days of the past, we would experience a significant improvement in our physical fitness.
