RANTOOL, Ill. (WCIA) — The Rantoul Police Department and Champaign County Crime Prevention Association are asking for help solving an armed robbery that happened a month ago.
According to authorities, just before midnight on May 3, three people entered the store at the intersection of South Maplewood Drive and Harmon Drive and demanded money at gunpoint. The suspects were last seen fleeing the location.
The suspects were recorded on store cameras as they entered the store. All suspects were male, wearing face masks and blue disposable gloves, and had the following clothing description:
- Suspect 1 – Wearing a dark Nike hoodie, dark pants and carrying a backpack
- Suspect 2 – Dark sunglasses, dark hoodie, dark pants
- Suspect 3 – Grey hat, black hoodie, black pants, backpack worn over chest
