CNN, Paris Hilton and other famous TikTok accounts targeted in cyber attack

The TikTok cyberattack hit accounts of top celebrities and brands, including CNN and Paris Hilton.
according to BBCTikTok did not provide any details about the attack but acknowledged that accounts of several brands and celebrities were targeted by hackers.
Video sharing apps BBC The company said the number of accounts compromised in the incident was “very limited,” but that it was working with affected users to restore their accounts.
Two of the main accounts targeted included news agency CNN and that of American TV star and businesswoman Paris Hilton.
“We have worked closely with CNN to restore access to the account and have implemented enhanced security measures to protect it going forward,” a TikTok spokesperson said.
“We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our platform and will continue to monitor for any inappropriate activity,” the spokesperson pledged.
Meanwhile, Hilton's account, which has more than 10 million followers, was also targeted in a cyber attack but was not compromised.
Additionally, TikTok could be banned in the United States over national security concerns if sold by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
