Filipina actresses Heart Evangelista and Anne Curtis ranked fourth and ninth, respectively, among the top 20 global celebrities across all fashion and sportswear categories based on Launchmetrics Insights' latest fashion marketing report.
Launch Metrics released the report, “Reimagining Influence: Gen Z's Impact on Fashion Marketing,” on Thursday, June 6th (EST), which uncovers influences and trends in consumer behavior and changes in the fashion, lifestyle and sportswear industries over the years.
The report also revealed the “Top 20 Global Celebrities in Fashion and Sportswear,” with Evangelista coming in fourth with a total Media Impact Value (MIV) of $85 million. Curtis came in ninth with a total MIV of $55 million.
The two are the only Filipina women on the list. Evangelista took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the Kapamilya actress and host.
“Congratulations [Anne Curtis Smith]” she wrote. The Kapuso socialite also shared the full list on her Instagram story, saying, “Overall, I'm grateful.”
Other artists making it into the top 20 include K-pop boy groups ENHYPEN, NCT, Stray Kids, BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé, and girl group New Jeans.
The list also includes international celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Dwayne Johnson and Thai actor Win Metawin.
Meanwhile, in 2023, Evangelista generated a media impact value of $1.4 million within the tracking period, topping the Milan Fashion Week influencer rankings.
That same year, actress and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach made $3.4 million, coming in second on the list of celebrities with the highest media value, while Liza Soberano made $671,000 by posting photos of her lavish outfits on Instagram.
For Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024, Wurtzbach again ranked second on the list with a Media Impact Value of $5.4 million, while Evangelista took third place with an MIV of $3.6 million.
