Donald Trump has resumed his campaign after being convicted in New York last week.
The former president has been sweeping western states, starting in Arizona, where he mocked President Joe Biden's immigration orders as “bullshit” during a town hall rally near the border.
Trump also sat down for an interview with Dr. Phil, where he was asked about his “toughest, darkest moment,” but the TV psychologist was slammed on social media for repeating lies about the criminal case against Trump in a flattering manner.
In a separate interview with Fox News, Trump downplayed the threat of climate change, arguing that international fears were a bigger concern, and declaring, “The only global warming that matters to me is nuclear global warming.”
The convicted Republican presidential candidate argued that while he remains a “very legitimate” candidate for the White House, the United States has become a “banana republic.”
Meanwhile, the judge in the classified documents case Florida Several parties unrelated to the case will plead their case in support of the former president's attempt to have the special counsel's charges dismissed. Jack Smith.

Trump adviser Steve Bannon furious after receiving jail order on July 1
Steve Bannon, a former adviser to President Donald Trump and far-right podcaster, must turn himself in to prison to begin a four-month sentence on July 1 after ignoring a subpoena to testify before a congressional committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Bannon expressed outrage over the sentence after a brief appearance in federal court on Thursday, while protesters outside the courthouse in Washington, D.C., chanted “he's going to jail” and called him a “coup plotter.”
“This is about silencing the MAGA movement, silencing grassroots conservatives, silencing President Trump,” Bannon told reporters. “Not only will we win, we will win… Nothing is going to silence me, nothing is going to silence me.”
Federal prosecutors last month asked the judge in the case to revoke the stay of the sentence, arguing that because an appeals court had upheld the conviction, there was “no legal basis” to block the prison time.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee, granted the request.

In case you missed it: Trump's lawyers ask New York judge to lift gag order in hush money case
The former president's lawyers are asking the New York judge presiding over the hush money trial to lift a gag order that bars him from commenting about witnesses, jurors or anyone else connected to the criminal case.
In a letter made public this week, Trump's lawyer Todd Branche asked Judge Juan Marchan to lift the gag order “now that the trial has concluded” after a jury on May 30 convicted Trump of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
“The concerns expressed by the Administration and the Supreme Court do not justify continued restrictions on the First Amendment rights of President Trump, who remains a strong contender in the 2024 presidential election, and the American people,” Blanch wrote.

The Biden campaign was quick to respond to Trump's interview with Dr. Phil.
You may remember that boxes of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago were discovered stacked on a ballroom stage… and eagle-eyed staff at Biden-Harris HQ noticed something familiar…

Kellyanne Conway makes bizarre claim about President Biden's Normandy landings
If you were watching the US news this morning, you would have seen President Joe Biden standing with French President Emmanuel Macron at the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, and then meeting with other world leaders and speaking at length with veterans of that historic day.
Former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway apparently saw something else…

David Sachs formally endorses Trump
Silicon Valley venture capitalist David Sachs has released a statement explaining why he supports Donald Trump for president.
Sachs is hosting the former president at his home for a fundraiser tonight.
Why I support President Trump
As has been widely reported, this evening I will be hosting a fundraiser for President Donald J. Trump at my home in San Francisco.
Over the past few years, I have hosted events for presidential candidates Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and several members of Congress from both major parties. I donate to many people, but support only a few.
But today I am endorsing our 45th President, Donald J. Trump, as our 47th President. I do so based on four key issues that I believe are critical to American prosperity, security, and stability. The Biden Administration has strayed far on these issues, but I believe President Trump can get us back on track.
He explains his views based on four main points: economy, foreign policy/Ukraine war, borders, and legal war.
