Local celebrities will be donning the uniform on Sunday to take on the Spiegel Globe Squires, a vintage baseball team, at the Hayes Presidential Library and Museum.
The match will take place on the lawns behind Hayes Home and the Carriage House at 1pm and admission is free.
Squires and celebrities play in mixed teams
This year, instead of Celebrities playing against the Squires, two teams will be played: the Squires and Celebrities.
Teams play by rules and in a style that dates back to the Civil War era, when baseball first began to gain popularity: back when it was spelled as two words, players were called “ballists,” and they played with bare hands.
