What do Lee Trevino, Marcus Samuelson and CC Sabathia have in common? They were all spotted at the Celebrity Chefs & Friends Golf & Tennis Tournament at Alpine Country Club.
Held annually at North Jersey's most exclusive golf venue, the event is better known as a “day camp” for top chefs than an intense sporting competition, attracting all the biggest names in the region, from culinary luminaries to sports legends.
And at the end of the night? 100% of the proceeds will go to City Harvest, New York's largest food rescue organization, providing meals to people in need.
Here's everything we know about the upcoming “Golf Course Food and Wine Festival” and how you can get involved.
Star-studded food festival held at luxury golf course
The Celebrity Chef & Friends Golf & Tennis Tournament is an all-day charity event where golf foursomes (you) are joined by a fifth player (a chef, celebrity or athlete) on the manicured grounds of Alpine Country Club. Tennis players are accompanied by famous chefs and restaurateurs.

This year's event will take place on Monday 24th June.
Throughout the afternoon, players will compete on the court/course for the top title, and both tournaments will culminate with a lavish reception hosted by over 65 celebrity chefs and acclaimed restaurants.
This means you don't need to know anything about the sport to participate.
All you need is a big appetite.
A great reception for a worthy cause
The country club's annual tournament is always hosted by big names, and this year it will be hosted by golf superstar Lee Trevino and tennis great Riley Opelka.
The day kicks off with sporting competitions at 9:30am, followed by a dining reception at 5:30pm. You can purchase tickets for both portions, or (if you're a foodie like most attendees) just the reception.
During the reception, guests are treated to sumptuous cuisine and cocktails prepared by some of New York City and Bergen County's top chefs and most acclaimed restaurants. Past attendees include Le Bernardin, Restaurant Daniel, COTE gourmets and Food Network personality Geoffrey Zakarian.
Menu highlights include soy-brined short ribs, lamb lollipops and multi-thousand-dollar Snake River Farms steaks.
So if you can afford to spend $1,000 on tickets, or are willing to splurge for a once-in-a-lifetime meal and guaranteed celebrity contact, hurry up and grab your tickets: this popular event is expected to sell out quickly.
