Actor and social media influencer Urfi Javed has accused Bollywood celebrities of falsely claiming to be from a “middle-class background”.
In a recent interview Instant BollywoodThe 26-year-old actress expressed her frustration with wealthy celebrities who pretend to have grown up poor.
She also expressed her displeasure with these stars claiming to have flown economy class, urging them to be real and stop pretending.

During the conversation, the host asked Javed to name something he finds strange or fake in Bollywood, to which he immediately replied: “When celebrities, especially wealthy celebrities, pretend that they come from a middle-class or poor background… it irritates me to the core.”

Tired of pretense, Javed wanted the real thing.
Javed further reiterated his point, adding: “We hadn't even seen a plane, my friend. What are you talking about?”

“Or even if celebrities now act like they're middle class and say, 'I don't spend money, I'm frugal,' how are they making so much money? I don't like this pretense.”
“Just be yourself,” Javed stressed.
The public largely agreed with Javed.
Javed's comments sparked a backlash on Reddit, with many users agreeing with what she said.
“She's absolutely right, so frustrating and honestly these celebs think this will garner sympathy but that's totally wrong,” one user said.
Some have pointed out that not only Sara Ali Khan but many other celebrities, including Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor, also pretend to be from a middle-class background.
Meanwhile, Javed reviewed the celebrity outfits at Cannes 2024.
In the same interview, Javed, who is known for his out-of-this-world fashion choices, reviewed the outfits of celebrities who attended the 2024 Cannes festival.
She gave high praise to fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi and Bollywood actor Preity Zinta.
Aditi Rao Hydari's outfit received a score of nine out of 10 from Javed, while supermodel Bella Hadid's see-through dress received 11 points.
However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Falguni Shane Peacock' dress received a slightly lower score of 8 out of 10 from the actor.
