The King was all smiles as he celebrated the work of his foundation alongside David Beckham, along with other celebrity ambassadors such as Sir Rod Stewart, who ended up swearing on stage.
While many stars joined the King to celebrate the launch of his charitable foundation, it was rock mogul Sir Rod Stewart who stole the show with a cheeky joke poking fun at David Beckham.
Sir Rod The Queen was presenting the award at the inaugural awards ceremony of the monarch's charity, the King's Foundation, at St James' Palace.
Asked for a comment, the star, who was knighted in 2016, said: “Penny and I are incredibly honoured to be ambassadors for the King's Trust.”
Lady Penny corrected him: “The Foundation.”
“Damn it,” Sir Rod added with a laugh, “Maybe I shouldn't have said that.”
He then cheekily said, “I am so honored to be knighted, too, David. You will soon be knighted too.”
Beckham He shook his head and laughed, but Sir Rod later said he could take a joke.
The former England captain was announced last month as one of the foundation's ambassadors, and he King talk About beekeeping and how to connect young people with nature.
The football star, who said at the event that he had cuts on his hands from planting roses over the weekend, frequently shares videos of his gardening projects and beloved chickens on his social media accounts.
But this time the King wanted to talk about football, asking about England's defeat to Iceland on Friday ahead of the Euros.
Beckham apparently replied: “No, no, I don't think we should read too much into it,” to which the King replied: “It's not a big deal, is it? It was a warm-up session.”
Beckham nodded and said, “Just warming up. I'm OK.”
The king then offered his own words of wisdom: “Because I don't want to use it all up at once right from the start.”
Beckham summed it up: “We're ready, Gareth is ready.”
The King's Foundation embraces many of the monarch's passions, aiming to revitalise local communities through urban regeneration and planning, supporting sustainable food production and teaching rural skills.

Other celebrity supporters at the event included newscaster Alan Titchmarsh, former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, model Naomi Campbell and actress Sienna Miller.
The King presented the final award of the evening, the King Charles III Harmony Award, to South Korean diplomat and former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The King seemed determined to speak to as many people as possible despite still undergoing treatment for cancer, and Sir Rod said he had told the King he had undergone a similar treatment.
His wife, Penny Lancaster, added that after spending time with her husband at the ceremony, she was just impressed with him and his dedication to service.
