A popular southeastern Minnesota event seems to be turning into a celebrity hangout: Last year, fans spotted Gerard Butler in droves, and now another on-screen hero is strolling through downtown Rochester at an event known as Thursday Downtown.

One thing I didn't expect today was hearing about a celebrity spotted in Minnesota. Sure, there are plenty of people visiting the Mayo Clinic in the Land of 10,000 Lakes that we've never heard of, but I didn't expect the news to break about celebrities coming here and taking selfies with fans.
There have been quite a few celebrity sightings in Minnesota recently.
The Ghostbusters star was spotted in downtown Rochester, Minnesota on Thursday
But the most recent sighting was at Rochester's weekly “Thursdays Downtown” party on Thursday, June 13, 2024. There'll be live music, plenty of food and drinks, vendors, and family fun lined up all over 1st Avenue and Peace Plaza. And if you were there today, you might have caught a glimpse of a Ghostbuster.
Doug Meyer was there today and happened to take a photo with the man himself, Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters. He gave us permission to share the photo he took with the megastar today. One of the comments left on his post read, “I've never been so starstruck in my life.”
