Celebrities are in the spotlight Who wants to be a millionaire? They won't be acting alone this summer, but the good news is that they won't be acting alone (and I don't mean through a lifeline).
The game show, hosted by late-night Jimmy Kimmel, celebrates its 25th anniversary when the new season premieres on ABC on Wednesday, July 10 at 8pm/7pm ET/PT, and TV Insider has the exclusive first look at this promo and the celebrity player pairings.
This season, in a twist for the first time, celebrity contestants will be paired up to compete to donate $1 million to a charity of their choice. The pairings include: John Mulaney and Nick Kroll, Rosie O'Donnell and Lisa Ann Walter, John Stamos and Dave Coulier, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, Zach Braff and Donald Faison, Lil Dicky and Gata, Kelly and Jack Osbourne, Ike Barinholtz and Alan Barinholtz, Sebastian Maniscalco and Omar J. Dorsey, Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata, Sophia Bush and Alex Edelman, Gillian Jacobs and Danny Pudi, Natasha Leggero and Jason Ritter, Ron Funches and Reggie Watts, and Jeff Ross and “Cousin Sal” Iacono.
As Kimmel says in a promo that you can watch in its entirety above, showcasing some of the pairings, this is “the most dramatic hour of three chairs in the history of American television.”
