At a rally in Detroit on Saturday, President Donald Trump again complained about U.S. support for Ukraine as it continues its war with Russia, describing the country's President, Volodymyr Zelensky, as “the greatest salesman of all time.”
The former president made it clear he was not happy with the Biden administration's recently approved $50 billion bailout package for Ukraine, complaining to supporters in Michigan that “it never ends.”
Trump also suggested President Joe Biden should “get cognitive testing done,” but was quick to confuse who administered his test, referring to Texas Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson, who served as the White House physician during his presidency, as “Ronnie Johnson.”
“He doesn't even know what the word 'inflation' means. I think he should take a cognitive test like I did,” Trump said during a headlining speech at the conservative Turning Point Action convention in the Motor City.
Earlier on Saturday, Trump hosted a roundtable discussion with community members at 180 Church, a predominantly black church in downtown Detroit.

Trump's VP nominee asks Supreme Court to intervene in former president's appeal
Florida Republican Representative Byron Donald, seen by some as a possible vice presidential pick by President Donald Trump, has asked the Supreme Court to hear the New York case against the former president, who was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
“speaker [Mike] “Mr. Johnson, many Americans, myself included, believe the Supreme Court should intervene in this issue,” Donald said Sunday on NBC News' “Meet the Press.”
On Sunday, Donald pointed to the lengthy appellate process in New York as a reason for the Supreme Court to step in and said the lawsuit against Trump was an attempt to “interfere” with the Republican candidate's campaign.
“This is being done for political purposes. We all know how the New York court system works. The only way this is going to be overturned is going to happen two or three years from now,” Donald said.
His comments came after Mike Johnson said on Fox News that the Supreme Court should look into the case.
“There's a lot of developments to come, but I believe the Supreme Court should step in. Obviously, this is completely unprecedented,” Johnson told “Fox & Friends” shortly after Trump's conviction.

President Trump posts 'Happy Father's Day' message
Donald Trump posted a somewhat divisive Father's Day message on Truth Social aimed at both his supporters and “far-left degenerates.”
In his usual all-caps post, the former president wrote: “Happy Father's Day to everyone, including the far-left degenerates who have repeatedly attempted to influence our sacred justice system and destroy their very sick and dangerous will, and are rapidly turning the United States of America into a third world nation.”
“We need strength and loyalty to our country and its great Constitution. All will be revealed on November 5th, 2024. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
