Derek Jeter, Barry Bonds lead off team in MLB Celebrity Softball Game at Rickwood Field
The two 14-time MLB All-Stars will show off their softball skills in a celebrity showdown at America's oldest ballpark on Wednesday. On Tuesday, MLB announced that seven-time National League MVP and godson of the great Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, will captain the “Say Hayes” (in honor of Mays) while Hall of Famer Derek Jeter will lead the “Salute to Hank Aaron” Hammers in the “Uninterrupted Fam Jam” celebrity softball game at Rickwood Field. A collaboration between MLB and Uninterrupted, the award-winning athlete storytelling brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, Fam Jam is part of the “Barnstorm Birmingham” Juneteenth celebration at Rickwood Field and marks the second day of MLB's “Tribute to the Negro Leagues” takeover event at Rickwood Field.
