President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are scheduled to face off on June 27 in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election season.
The CNN-hosted presidential debate in Atlanta is happening much earlier than usual, but it won't be the only one.
When is the next presidential debate?
The second presidential debate is scheduled for September 10. It will be hosted by ABC News and will be moderated by David Muir and Lindsey Davis, according to a statement from the network.
It is unclear whether there will be an audience or when the debate will begin, but the network said the debate will be held in “prime time.”

Why is the first debate so soon?
This year, both campaigns dropped out of the Commission on Presidential Debates, frustrated by the traditional September and October schedule that often coincided with the start of mail-in voting in many states.
Any further discussion?
Trump has said he wants to hold more than one debate, but no other dates have yet been set.
The Commission on Presidential Debates had originally scheduled the first debate to be held on September 16 at Texas State University, the second on October 1 at Virginia State University and the third on October 9 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
As of mid-June, it was unclear whether the Biden and Trump campaigns would accept the debate offer.
