Moses began dealing with mental health issues at an early age. He was eventually diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. He was inspired by his college roommate and teammate, Zach Hollywood, who committed suicide after living with mental health issues. Moses dedicated the rest of his career to Hollywood, and with permission from Hollywood's family, changed his jersey number to 24, his late friend's number. “Zach was my best friend and inspired me to carry on his legacy and help people who were in the same position he was in years ago,” said Trey Moses, founder of 24 Reasons. “We're really pleased that his legacy will be carried on through our first official fundraiser and that it has the support of so many amazing people. Mental health and suicide prevention are important issues and through events like this we hope to bring more awareness and resources to those in need.” All proceeds from the match will go directly towards funding awareness and prevention work.
