Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) suggested President Joe Biden could be prosecuted over his handling of the border crisis.
In an interview with Fox News, Graham was asked about the Democratic attacks on the Supreme Court and the possibility of the Senate stepping in to enforce ethics rules on the court. The South Carolina Republican said Democrats are only attacking the Supreme Court to cover up Biden's record and suggested Biden could be prosecuted over his handling of the border.
“When it comes to enforcing the law, Joe Biden has been reckless,” he said. “He's adopted restrictive parole laws, granting parole to an average of 1 million people while Trump has been granting parole to 1 million people.[‘s] … They gave parole to 5,600 people. Laken Riley's killer was paroled because El Paso didn't have the capacity. He was released under the parole law because they were at capacity. There was nothing in the law that said you can release someone because they're at capacity, and he killed this woman.”
Graham suggested it would be better for Biden if the Supreme Court granted presidential immunity, overturning former President Donald Trump's request for immunity for other crimes.
“All these women who were raped and murdered have one thing in common: Their murderers, their rapers, their murderers were in our custody and then released, which in my opinion is illegal,” he continued. “Joe Biden better hope and pray that he has presidential immunity because he paroled Laken Riley's murderer for lack of competency and without presidential immunity I believe he would be subject to criminal prosecution, not just lawsuits.”

The debate over presidential immunity has focused primarily on President Trump, pending a Supreme Court decision on whether the president is protected by presidential immunity for alleged crimes.
