The first presidential debate of the 2024 election year will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 9 p.m. PBS News I'll present CNN Presidential Debate Simulcast It will be streamed live on THIRTEEN.
The debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will have microphones muted to avoid interrupting the candidates' speaking time. The debate, which will have no audience, will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta and co-hosted by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
This is the earliest televised presidential debate in the history of the election cycle – the next one is scheduled for September 10 – and it will also be the first between a sitting president and a former president.
A special debate will be held immediately following the debate. PBS News Amna Nawaz and Jeff Bennett will co-host, White House correspondent Laura Baron Lopez and Capitol Hill correspondent Lisa Desjardins will report, and additional guests will provide expert analysis.
