Celebrities, politicians and members of the royal family descended on Wembley Arena over the weekend for the Eraser Tour. Famous Impostor
Time Era The tour, which arrived in London last week, has sparked an indirect clout-cannibalism: Some celebrities were clearly just there to have fun, while to others the most important thing was to be seen, making it seem like a carefully managed PR stunt. Era Touring is fun, but using the opportunity as a cynical self-branding opportunity is embarrassing. Taylor Swift These are not popular cows to be milked by members of the royal family or political establishment, these are the worst criminals (and innocents).
Swifties everywhere unite: I demand a Parliamentary investigation into how Keir Starmer got his ticket. Era The tour definitely didn't involve sweating for hours in online queues. Some of my friends are Swift fans, and I've seen firsthand the hell they endured to get tickets. I've seen the tears and the triumphs. I've seen the late nights and color-coded spreadsheets. Some spent their hard-earned money, while others were devastated with disappointment. I was there, and I remember it well. And now, this honored conman… Local – How do you get a swan in the best seat in the theater?
Keir Starmer I accuse…You are the most despicable and contemptible being. A fake Swifty. Rank your five favorite Aaron Dresner produced tracks. Sing the second verse of “Hits Different.” Write a 500 word personal essay about a period in your life that you feel was your “Reputation Era.” Dare Use ChatGPT. No…? I didn't think so.
To me, one of Keir Starmer's most sinister qualities is that he pretends, for political convenience, that he has worse taste in music than he actually does (he orange juice(For one, they're a great band.) But in his quest for power, he pared down his individuality to make himself as inoffensive and broadly acceptable as possible. Several There are a lot of straight, middle-aged men who like Taylor Swift, but I don't think he's one of them. He just goes along with what's popular and hopes that magic will rub off on him.

former Fleabag Stars have been seen exiting the VIP tent and rushing back as soon as they hear the opening chords of “Style.” Hell, celebrities are just like us! This is exactly like when you and your friends rush from the smoking area to the dance floor when the DJ plays your favorite song! This is not embarrassing for them (they're not doing anything wrong). It is embarrassing for them. we, The viewers at home. I feel humiliated that I was even invited to enjoy this show. Call me a hateful hater, but I don't consider myself lucky to have been blessed with footage of celebrities having a great, yet relatable, time in the VIP tent. There's something depressing about the idea of two strangers hyperventilating with excitement over spending time together at a concert. I'm glad they had a good time, but that's none of my business. And it's myself In that VIP tent.
It's so funny! Greta and Travis are having a blast, Ross is having a blast with Tom Cruise, Jason and his long lost Hemsworth brother are having a blast in the back, Ashton Kutcher is looking out over the Killa gang because he's matching their energy and the whole tent is super hyped! 😂 pic.twitter.com/fqgkNjDgM9

Sorry, but I'm not going to go as far as to claim that this video of Tom Cruise letting his hair down is “embarrassing.” Daughter's Graduation No, he's not. He's Tom Cruise! The last movie star! He dances with just the right amount of enthusiasm for a middle-aged man. Not too much, not too much. With wedding season fast approaching, all 61-year-old men around the world should take note.
Honorable mention must also be given to Greta Gerwig, from the same video, who appears to be in a state of genuine ecstatic joy, and it's hard to blame her. Perhaps, despite what I said about Andrew Scott and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, I'm not immune to the allure of celebrity goofing around after all.

Cate Blanchett is Even if only slightly Embarrassed Celebrities Era On tour, whether she's cold and disinterested or focused on the music as if she were at the opera, she has a more elegant look on her face than making faces at the camera or doing some vulgar thing that she clearly enjoys.
Hugh Grant arrives early to see Paramore and eats carrots????? I don't know what to say pic.twitter.com/qRegYEmewO

…But then again, Hugh Grant tweeting that he's eating carrots and drinking tequila with Travis Kelcy is so lame it's adorable. #TequilaShots, everyone!
Sorry, but watching Prince William dance to shake it off is making me gasp. pic.twitter.com/hDyLxtJIdt

The idea of a “divine right of governance” began to crumble in the 17th century, and ever since then the Royal Family has relied on status and prestige to survive. Why would we accept unelected aristocrats as heads of state if they had no influence? What other source of legitimacy could they have? So the British Royal Family has had a parasitic relationship with popular culture since the 20th century. When the Beatles were awarded MBEs in 1965, Labour MP Tony Benn I have written“Let's be clear, The Beatles' receiving MBEs did a much greater service to the Royal Family than the Royal Family giving the Beatles MBEs. No one went to see The Beatles receive MBEs, but the Royal Family likes the idea that the honours list is popular because it helps support the Royal Family and, indirectly, the Royal Family's influence is used to strengthen the forces of conservatism in society.”
Ben's point still stands: Taylor Swift has done more for the royal family by being photographed with them than the royal family has done by being photographed by Taylor Swift. She is a much more popular, influential and in some ways more powerful person than Prince William. She got a lovely holiday photo, and the prince got the opportunity to be ingratiated with an audience of the world's most popular celebrities.
This is a huge PR win for the Royal Family, but a shame considering they are a symbol of everything conservative, backward and elitist in the UK. Realistically speaking, she wasn't going to tell them to “get out”, but I wish she had. Instead of taking a photo with Prince William, she should have rallied her fans and staged a military coup to overthrow the unelected government that has Britain in chains. Still, there's always an August date! 🙏
