Who wants to be a millionaire? The summer is heating up with a new wave of celebrity contestants looking to raise money for their favourite charities.
The wildly popular game show is returning with a new season hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, set to premiere on Wednesday, July 10 on ABC.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary on the network, the new version will see two celebrities compete to win $1 million for their favorite charities.
PEOPLE in the first episode Kenan & Kel With graduates Good Burger 2 stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell compete for the top prize; Ah, Hello Broadway Starring John Mulaney and Nick Kroll.
The two have been friends for many years, so it's no surprise to see them competing side by side.
Speaking to People magazine in November, Mitchell, 45, spoke about the “brotherly love” between the pair and said that spending time with Thompson, 46, is what he cherishes most about their friendship.
“We've known each other since we were kids. We've been on different journeys and we've been on journeys together. It's a friendship that's lasted a long time. [able to last] “It's a test of time and that's pretty amazing,” he said.
