Trump has made unpredictable speeches part of his brand, but Biden supporters are hoping their candidate will avoid it during the debate.
ATLANTA — Thursday's presidential debate in Atlanta will feature President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump as they prepare for the November election.
Trump has made unpredictable speeches part of his brand, but Biden supporters are hoping that Biden's sometimes unpredictable tendencies will be tempered in the debate in Atlanta.
David Moskowitz is a staunch Biden supporter, but he's not too keen on Thursday's debate.
“You might have to be near an alcoholic beverage or stimulants somewhere to not have your eyes really pop out at this event,” Moskowitz said, half-jokingly, on Wednesday.

Moskowitz said he was mostly talking about Donald Trump, who has raged in previous debates and may do so again in Atlanta, which is what makes him so popular with his supporters. But Biden's occasional onstage gaffes have some of his supporters a bit nervous.
“I want Biden to do well. I don't want him to make any verbal gaffes,” said Biden supporter James McMakin.
“I hope he's well prepared because we're trying to protect our democracy,” added Jasmine Keith, another Biden supporter.

Age has been a focus for both politicians: Trump, at 78, is just a few years younger than Biden, and Biden, at 81, has shown supporters that his awkward speech is sometimes just part of the way he speaks.
“I know what's going to happen. I'm sure there'll be a stutter here and there, but that's just his personality,” Moskowitz said.
Both Biden and Trump are desperately trying to memorize debate rhetoric that they have carefully rehearsed.
“I think people need to focus on making him a human being, not his age. He's a human being. You know, I'm not good at public speaking, so we shouldn't expect him to be perfect,” Keith said.
“That's just a natural part of the job,” Moskowitz added.
