AACSB uses new report and global event to set strategic direction for business schools to advance their education and lead boldly in AI.
TAMPA, Fla., June 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AACSB International (AACSB) is leading the way for business schools to embrace and innovate with AI. In addition to a recently released report exploring how business schools can better understand and leverage the capabilities of generative AI (GenAI), AACSB is announcing it will host its first-ever AI conference in the U.S. and will feature renowned AI thought leader Ethan Mollick as a keynote speaker at its Deans' Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 2025.
Ethan Mollick is an Associate Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he researches and teaches innovation and entrepreneurship and the impact of artificial intelligence on work and education. He also leads Wharton Interactive, an initiative to democratize education using games, simulations, and AI. Prior to academia, Ethan co-founded a startup and currently advises a number of startups and organizations.
The news comes on the heels of AACSB hosting its first AI conference in Santa Clara, California, which highlighted key business education focuses, including the intersection of AI in business education and applied business, the importance of AI capabilities, and how AI can improve efficiency without replacing soft skills. AACSB will also be holding a similar AI conference in Paris on October 9 and 10.
The study is based on a recently released report from AACSB. Building the business school of the future with generative AI, We take an in-depth look at potential threats and opportunities for business education and outline how schools can effectively leverage GenAI into their curriculum and learner experience while still achieving their institutional goals.
The impact of AI is only just beginning to be felt in education, business, and society, and these efforts serve as a catalyst for further exploration, discussion, and research into the dynamics of evolving digital technologies.
