It's been a busy week for celebrity fashion, with Paris Fashion Week, much-anticipated movie premieres, Vogue World, and more. Some of the world's biggest stars, such as Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry, have been performing at their best in terms of style over the past few days, while other big icons, such as Avril Lavigne and Emma Stone, tried their best but ultimately failed when it came to their looks.
Still, it's worth mentioning the number of style risks some celebrities took this week, and while not all of them were successful, the expression “go bold or go left” certainly rings true when it comes to fashion.
Below, scroll through some of the most talked-about fashion from the past week, vote for your favorite and least favorite outfits, and check back at the weekend to see who was in the top 100. Yahoo Canada Our readers decided to decide who is the best and least stylish celebrity of the week.
Best Dressed: Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez may be the butt of everyone's jokes and celebrity hate these days, but no online troll can take away from the singer's top-notch sense of style. The 54-year-old “Love Don't Cost a Thing” artist stunned us in a tan dress she wore to Christian Dior's Paris Fashion Week show. She paired the one-shoulder dress with open-toed heels, black leather gloves, and a black handbag by the fashion house.
Worst Dressed: Lupita Nyong'o
Lupita Nyong'o is one of those stars who exudes natural beauty, but the custom Prada outfit she wore to the New York premiere of “A Quiet Place” was just too awkward. The all-black catsuit sparkled with sequins and an off-the-shoulder neckline, but it also had a satin skirt-like piece around the 41-year-old actress' waist that pulled back into slouchy sequined pants. She completed the look with a floor-length cape-like train, shiny black stiletto heels, more black sequins in her hair, and silver De Beers jewelry.
Best Dressed: Kylie Jenner
Love her or hate her, Kylie Jenner knows what it takes to look eye-catching. The 26-year-old socialite looked lovely in pink at Paris Fashion Week in a crystal-dot Schiaparelli gown that featured a strapless neckline and corseted waist.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder wore the stunning piece while sitting front row at the fashion house's Haute Couture show. She paired the Danielle Roseberry-designed look with a matching satin pink shawl and bridal-style tulle face net.
Worst Dressed: Avril Lavigne
If you've watched enough episodes of America's Next Top Model, you're probably haunted by the judges' comments, which centered around the infamous “headless monster” criticism. One look at Avril Lavigne's Iris Van Herpen look at Paris Fashion Week makes it clear that Tyra Banks isn't going to take down her photos to get rid of the queen of pop-punk music. The 39-year-old singer's futuristic black-and-white outfit was nearly zipped up and suffocating, and neither the balloon shorts nor the spiked hair did the Canadian songstress any favors.
Best Dressed: Jisoo
BLACKPINK's Jisoo channeled the imagination of a medieval princess in an elegant, perfectly styled two-piece at Paris Fashion Week. The 29-year-old Dior ambassador wore a pearl- and crystal-embellished outfit as she sat front row next to CEO Delphine Arnault and singer Jennifer Lopez at the fashion house's haute couture show.
The K-Pop artist teamed her long-sleeved dress with black punk-inspired accessories, including a leather belt, high-heeled strappy boots, argyle socks and a matching Dior mini handbag. She completed the look with braided bun detailing in her hair and chic grey nails.
Worst Dressed: Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne's outfit for Vogue World Paris is a perfect example of what might look great in a magazine photoshoot but not on the red carpet. The 31-year-old model rocked a nautical look for the event, wearing a sailor hat with bows and a cone-bra corset with loose straps that mimicked a long skirt. The questionable outfit, guest designed by Simone Rocha for Jean Paul Gaultier, was accessorized with sheer white tights and matching slippers with bows.
Best Dressed: Katy Perry
While this might not be a style everyone can relate to, we think Katy Perry looked totally chic in the naked dress she wore to Vogue World in Paris. It was the 39-year-old singer's first time walking a runway, and she walked glamorously in an archive Noir Kay Ninomiya cut-out dress with intertwining leather petals and a tulle floral skirt. The “Firework” artist went jewellery-free and let her wet hair, bold makeup and cross-tie heels do the rest.
Worst Dressed: Emma Stone
Anyone trying to bring capri pants back from the graveyard of the 2000s needs to stop now. At a special screening of “Kinds of Kindness” in London, Emma Stone lived up to her teacher's dreams in black capri pants, a bright red V-neck sweater, and a blue button-up shirt. The 35-year-old actress opted for black pumps and a plastic headband, and to accessorize, she chose a few delicate rings and small drop earrings.
Best Dressed: Ashley Park
Ashley Park looked like a sparkling snowflake at Vogue World Paris in a fun pale pink and silver couture dress by Rahul Mishra. The 33-year-old “Emily in Paris” star showed off her bust without a bra with the dress's deep V-neckline. The actress accessorized in silver with shiny platform heels and a sparkly shoulder bag by Giuseppe Zanotti. For jewelry, she opted for silver drop earrings, a couple of choker-style necklaces, a couple of matching rings and a short shiny bracelet.
Worst Dressed: Elizabeth Debicki
“MaXXXine” is one of the most anticipated films of the year, but Elizabeth Debicki's two-piece outfit for the film's Los Angeles premiere lacked the glamour required for such an event. The 33-year-old actress wore a herringbone print bra and matching high-rise, wide-leg pants by Ashi Studio. She kept it low-key with open-toed sandals and her only jewelry was a pair of bronze drop earrings.
