Camila Cabello wants “Hot Uptown” collaborator Drake and his rival Kendrick Lamar to pick “LUV.”
The “I LUV IT” hitmaker told Britain's Sunday Times newspaper that she hopes the two men embroiled in a highly publicized rap feud will get together for dinner to sort things out, after Drake was heavily criticized for his role in the feud.
“It really pisses me off when people talk about people I know in such negative ways. I'm like, 'Oh, I wish we could go to dinner together,'” she told the Times, which called Cabello's comments “kind, if unexpected.”
But not everyone agrees. Cabello has sparked backlash after weighing in on a controversy over two black rappers, with online users once again revealing her complicated personal history with race.

The feud between Lamar and Drake had been going on for more than a decade, going all the way back to 2013, when Lamar rapped about wanting to “kill” Drake and other famous rappers on Big Sean's song “Control.” The rap battle reached a fever pitch this spring, when the two exchanged harsh words about the Ozempic rumors, insults to his height, and disturbing allegations of abuse and grooming.

She later told People magazine that she attended “weekly healing sessions about racism” after her social media posts became public.
Her comments about the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud resurfaced those claims, with one X user writing, “I remember her saying she was sent to rehab for racism and that she was cured.”
“No one listens to advice from someone known to be racist,” another wrote, while others quipped, “Remember when Camila Cabello was so racist she had to be sent to 'weekly racism therapy sessions'” and “This woman was so racist she had to see a therapist too.”

“I was uneducated and ignorant, but when I learned the history, the weight and the true meaning behind this horrible and hurtful word, I felt deeply ashamed that I had used it,” she wrote at the time.
Cabello did not specify at the time what words she was apologizing for, but the former Fifth Harmony singer was accused of making racist remarks in a now-deleted Tumblr post, which was made on a deactivated account on the social platform.

In a previous interview with Billboard , she spoke about her surprise collaboration with Drake on her new album, which includes her own solo songs, and receiving an Instagram direct message from the streaming giant.
“When I felt comfortable enough, I showed him the album and he really liked it.[The feature]came from a non-deal place. He had an idea for a song called 'Hot Uptown' and it made me feel like I was in the city. I felt like I was in Miami,” she told Billboard.
The “Living Proof” songstress told The Sunday Times that she didn't expect the “God's Plan” rapper to reply.
“It was like that weird feeling you get as a teenager, feeling like no one cares about you or likes you, and it was fun to be proven wrong,” Cabello told the Times.
