The Glastonbury crowd wasn't ready for it yet, but their kids will love it.
Michael J. Fox, 63, took to the stage to play guitar during Coldplay's performance at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday.
Chris Martin has paid tribute to the Back to the Future star, who has Parkinson's disease and performed from a wheelchair.
“The main reason we formed a band was because we saw Back to the Future, so we want to thank our eternal hero and one of the most amazing people on the planet, Michael J. Fox,” Martin, 47, told the crowd. “Thank you so much, Michael.”

In Fox's “Back to the Future,” character Marty McFly famously plays guitar during a pivotal scene at the 1955 school dance. Marty performed “Johnny B. Goode” years before the song's debut, inspiring Chuck Berry to record the song and stunning and silencing crowds with his future-thinking guitar solo.
“I don't think you guys are ready for this yet,” McFly told the stunned audience, “but your kids are going to love it.”
Speaking on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2022, Martin said the scene “made me want to join a band.”
At Glastonbury, as Foxx played guitar, Martin sang “Go, Johnny, go, go, go!”, evoking the Johnny B. Goode scene in the film.
This isn't Fox's first time performing with Coldplay: in 2016, he joined the band at a show in New Jersey to perform “Earth Angel” and “Johnny B. Goode,” both songs from the school dance scene in Back to the Future. Onstage, Martin said Back to the Future was his and his son Moses' “favorite movie of all time.”

In last year's graphic documentary “Still: The Michael J. Fox Movie,” Fox spoke about his career and his struggle with Parkinson's disease, which he was diagnosed with at age 29. In 2020, he published a memoir, “No Time Like the Future: An Optimist's View of Death.”
In February, Fox rose from his wheelchair to present the BAFTAs with the award for Best Picture and received a standing ovation, with presenter David Tennant calling him “a true legend of cinema”.
