Ribbon cutting to celebrate the reopening of Big Sky Decon

BELGRADE, Montana – Governor Greg Gianforte recently attended the reopening ceremony of Big Sky DeCon in Belgrade and praised the resilience of Montana's economy and entrepreneurs.
“Despite inflation and workforce pressures brought on by President Biden's policies, Montana's economy continues to grow,” said Governor Gianforte. “It was great to visit Big Sky Decon in Belgrade and see some of the innovative technologies they're using. Thanks to our pro-business and pro-job policies, companies and entrepreneurs are creating new economic opportunities for Montanans.”
Governor Gianforte cut the ribbon at the Big Sky Decon reopening ceremony.
Big Sky Decon provides professional decontamination services for residential, commercial, and vehicle applications. Formerly known as Kurt Kleen, this Made in Montana company offers a variety of services to eliminate bacteria and viruses in high-traffic areas such as schools.
During his visit, the Governor joined Big Sky Decon Chief Operating Officer Jason Gardiner to celebrate the expansion and learn more about the company’s state-of-the-art ultraviolet sanitation equipment, which disinfects machine coolant.
“Part of being an entrepreneur is finding a problem and solving it,” Gardiner said. “We're blessed to live and work in a state like Montana that rewards innovation and celebrates hard work, and we're confident the work being done in Helena will help businesses like ours provide a wide range of opportunities for Montanans.”
After hearing from the Big Sky cleanup team, the Governor learned the company plans to partner with a DCF manufacturing company in Missoula to use new ultraviolet technology to decontaminate and dispose of refrigerants and other materials.
Nearly 40,000 jobs have been added in Montana since Governor Gianforte took office in January 2021. Under his leadership, total employment reached an all-time high in May.
Governor Gianforte has worked with the Legislature to reform our state's tax code to encourage business investment and job creation, and attract companies from around the world to Montana.
