Democratic megadonor John Morgan has joined the ranks of President Joe Biden's campaign in blaming his aides for the president's poor debate performance.
In an interview with Politico, Morgan said he believes the president has a “cabal” of aides, a group that includes Biden senior adviser Anita Dunn, Dunn's husband and Biden's personal lawyer Bob Bauer, and Biden's former chief of staff, Ron Klain.
“I think he misplaced his trust in those three people, and I believe that was the case from the beginning,” Morgan told Politico.
Morgan also appeared on X on Sunday to air his frustrations with his aides.
“Biden has been fooled by the values of Anita Dunn and her husband for too long. They need to resign today,” he wrote.
He added: “The fraud is gross. It's political malfeasance.”
Morgan, who founded the law firm Morgan & Morgan, Donated at least $355,000 He worked on Biden's 2020 campaign and helped raise about $1.7 million. Through fundraising activities At his home.

Three anonymous sources said POLITICO The Biden family reportedly resented the three senior aides, who helped train Biden for the prime-time CNN debate, for not adequately preparing Biden for the offensive.
Despite growing criticism from the party and donors, the Biden-Harris campaign raised $127 million in June, including $38 million after Thursday's debate.
From April to June, the Trump campaign raised $264 million. But according to Bloomberg, the Trump campaign has outraised the Biden campaign, raising $331 million in the second quarter of 2024.
Despite the strong fundraising numbers, donors were shaken after the debate and Biden's chances of winning in 2024 remain unclear.
Whitney Tilson, another longtime Democratic donor, said in a post on X on Saturday that she felt “tricked” by Biden's performance.
“If the man we saw in the debates is the real Joe Biden now, then supporting him is a waste of time and money, as he has almost no chance of beating Trump,” Tilson wrote.
