The investigation into Matthew Perry's drug overdose death has come up with shocking reports of the pair's shared addiction, and that both men were found to have had connections to female celebrities.
The Los Angeles Police Department's investigation into Perry's fatal ketamine overdose has revealed the involvement of another friend, InTouch reports.
Sources said the woman, who has yet to be named, claimed she hadn't been drinking but was in fact a “walking drugstore.”
Photographic evidence was reportedly found showing a woman with Perry at the office of the doctor who had prescribed Perry ketamine.
Sources said the two would introduce each other to doctors to access drugs and often confided in each other about their struggles with addiction.
“If federal agents had either of their phones, especially [the second celeb’s]She doesn't delete her text messages, so you'll probably find conversations about drugs and things like, “How can I get more?”“That wouldn't look good on the celebrity,” the source said.
The anonymous celebrity is the second person to be linked to Perry's death, following Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Perry was found unresponsive in a hot tub at her Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023, and died at the age of 54.
An autopsy revealed that he died from “acute effects of ketamine” and drowning, with the actor having accumulated the same amount of ketamine in his system as a hospital patient under general anesthesia.
The actor has openly spoken about undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to treat depression.
However, his last treatment came just a week and a half before he died, and because ketamine only stays in the body for three to four hours, it did not directly contribute to his death.
A criminal investigation has been launched to determine how the star obtained the drugs.
It was later revealed that Mueller had been interviewed “multiple times” by the Los Angeles Police Department after it was reported that the two had become close while in rehab.
She was not arrested or handcuffed in connection with the investigation, and sources told InTouch she is cooperating with the criminal investigation.
Mueller, 46, has had various substance abuse problems over the years. In July 2011, she checked into a rehab program. Two years later, her children were removed from their home amid suspicion of drug use. Mueller then checked into rehab again.
The news comes after a separate report said investigators may charge “multiple individuals” in connection with the actor's death.
His death sent shock waves through the entertainment industry and broke the hearts of fans across the world.
At the time of his death, Perry's personal assets were estimated at $1.5 million, and he also had a $120 million trust fund in which his family and ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn were the beneficiaries.
This is breaking news, so please check back for updates.
