Bear Grylls has revealed that Natalie Portman is one of the toughest celebrities he has ever worked with.
The former SAS officer turned TV star has seen many famous people put their survival skills to the test in his adventure TV series Running Wild With Bear Grylls, and now he's shown off some of the most impressive.
“I actually think women are better than men in many ways,” the 50-year-old said in an interview on Australian show “The Project.”
“Survival is the great equalizer, and I love seeing that dynamic that no matter who you are or what you like, people are always actually pretty impressive.”
When asked who the toughest star he's ever met was, he replied: “I think of Natalie Portman these days. She was incredible. You know, she was petite, but she was unstoppable.”
The actress appeared on his show in 2022 where she learned how to navigate a canyon in Utah. During the trip, they had to filter water through Bear's pants so that the water was clean enough to drink.
“You filter sludge water through your pants?” a surprised Natalie was shown asking in front of the camera.
Tennis champion Roger Federer was also mentioned by Baer, who said: “He's just a great guy. He's positive, determined and courageous in the big moments. I think there are parallels between difficult moments in life, difficult moments in the jungle and difficult moments in sport. Sometimes you have to push yourself with all your heart, and that's a good thing.”
