When Katy Perry sang “Baby You're a Firework,” she probably didn't realize she was creating the ultimate anthem for people born on the Fourth of July.
I know there are certainly downsides to having a birthday that coincides with a holiday — not everyone born on Christmas gets presents, and Halloween folks might get tricked rather than candy — but those born on the Fourth of July have the added bonus of having sparklers and fireworks lighting up the sky just for them. So in the grand scheme of holiday birthdays, I think it's safe to say they win.
