Wimbledon's Royal Box is known for hosting an impressive guest list and that trend continued with some familiar faces gracing the stands on Day 8.
Emma Raducanu was knocked out of Wimbledon on Sunday after losing to qualifier Lulu Sun on Centre Court, but Elena Rybakina is the new favourite to win the SW19 women's singles title.
Raducanu was seeking his first quarterfinal appearance but was overwhelmed by his opponent, ranked 123rd in the world, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
With Coco Gauff also eliminated after losing to Emma Navarro, the Kazakh player has emerged as the favourite to win the 2022 title at the All England Club and will return to Centre Court for the first time in 2024 today to face 17th seed Anna Kalinskaya.
Fans can expect to see some famous faces above the crowds over the next two weeks. The Royal Box is the epicenter of celebrity events every year. Last year, American musician Ariana Grande thrilled fans when she appeared at the men's singles final without her wedding ring. Last year's men's singles final attracted an A-list crowd that included Ian McKellan, Nick Jonas, Maggie Smith, Daniel Craig, Andrew Garfield, Stormzy and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
