Lara Trump predicts 'surprising people,' including celebrities, will speak at Republican National Convention
The Republican National Convention will be held in Milwaukee from July 15-18.
Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump, will be speaking. Already tonight, Republican National Committee officials are in Wisconsin. 12 News Political Director Matt Smith is reporting live from Waukesha. The Republican National Committee also met downtown today and voted on the party platform. Kristen, the platform committee that essentially approved the Republican platform met in a rush today at the Baird Center and quickly voted on this platform that Trump supports, despite the controversy over abortion. We're going to give you a full behind-the-scenes rundown of everything that happened a week ago. We're on tonight at 10 o'clock. Our political director Matt Smith will be reporting live from Waukesha. If you live or work downtown, you might see helicopters flying low over the city. Over the next few days, the National Nuclear Security Administration will be conducting radiation inspections as part of standard preparations for the Republican National Convention. Helicopters will be equipped to detect and measure radioactive contamination. The inspections will only be conducted during daylight hours, and 12News will be running daily coverage in the run-up to the Republican National Convention. Security zones, road closures,
