Celebrities and former colleagues pay tribute Jacoby Jones The news came following his death on Sunday, July 14, at the age of 40. The cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Jones was a Pro Bowler who was selected in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft and showcased his athletic talents with the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens, who won the Super Bowl with Jones in 2013, released a statement on social media hours after his death.
“We are saddened to learn of the passing of Jacoby Jones,” the team announced. “Jacoby had the unique ability to connect with everyone he met. His charisma, joy and love were one of a kind and could light up any room and brighten any dark day. Jacoby will long be remembered not only for his success on the football field, but also for the lasting personal connections he made with countless people throughout the Ravens organization, the Baltimore community and every neighborhood he called home. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jacoby's family as we all begin to come to terms with this tragic loss.”
