Like the rest of the world, Hollywood reacted strongly to the attempted assassination of presidential candidate Donald Trump over the weekend.
While many prominent liberal figures remained silent, a few were unable to resist speaking out. Hollywood Trump supporters used their platforms to denounce political violence and reaffirm their support for the Republican front-runner.
Country singer Jason Aldean shared a photo of Trump raising his fist as blood streamed down his face after a bullet grazed his right ear.

Actress Roseanne Barr responded to a post by Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) who blamed Republicans for the attack because the shooter was a registered Republican.
“I was waiting for them to blame us for this too,” Barr wrote. “The gaslighting war is over. They no longer have the power. Chinese spy and lecher Swalwell, who also wears pantyhose, is willfully ignoring the open primary where Democrats were encouraged to register as Republicans and the Act Blue donations, in an effort to hurt Trump in the primary.”
“These people are evil,” she added.
Fitness instructor Jillian Michaels also expressed horror at the incident. “No matter what side you're on, you don't need to be horrified or scared. We need to take a step back, put our differences aside and come together,” she said. Ashley Judd, left-wing actress and activist Reacted She said she believes Trump can be defeated, but not through violence.
“Political violence of any kind is wrong in any situation, against any person,” she wrote on Instagram. “I want Donald Trump to lose. I don't want him to be harmed. He is a human being with a family, just like me. My father and I wish him well and send words of encouragement to his family.”
“Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston also weighed in on gun violence in general. “Today is a tragic day,” he wrote on social media. “We must honestly acknowledge (with deep regret) that shootings are a common means of resolving conflict in our society, and there seems to be a shocking disregard for the ubiquity of gun violence.”
Cranston added, “I am relieved that Mr. Trump was not seriously injured. I hope that he and those who attended seek psychological support to help ease the trauma they have experienced. My thoughts and prayers go out to the innocent victims of this senseless act.”
“I believe we can be better. We must be better… but at some point, shootings stop being shocking. And that's what makes them shocking,” the actor wrote.

Actor Jack Black, who just attended a Democratic fundraiser for President Biden a few weeks ago, faced some major backlash during a show in Australia with his band Tenacious D. Black took the opportunity onstage to wish bandmate Kyle Gass a happy birthday, to which Gass responded, “Just make sure you don't miss Trump next time.”
Black endured significant criticism following the incident, ultimately distancing himself from the band and the tour a few days later.
