In padel, Eva Longoria is doing well. The actress, who has more than 10 million followers on Instagram, has taken up racket playing as her new hobby. Last February, she made her debut in the Hexagon Cup as owner of ElevenEleven Team USA, but has since gone one step further.
The Texas native took part in the Star Padel Slam, a charity event in Marbella last Tuesday. Held at the Nueva Alcántara Marbella Paddle Tennis Club, a portion of the proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Global Gift Foundation's Casa Angeles initiative.
One aspect of the project is a multi-purpose center that will provide cutting-edge treatments and therapies for children with rare chronic diseases.
Eva told Efe that all preparations are in place for the Foundation's flagship event, the Global Gift Summer Gala, which will be held in Spain, and expressed delight at the response the event has received.
Navarro, Cardona and other celebrities
Other members who expressed interest in participating included soccer players Marcos Alonso, Paquito Navarro, Gemma Triay, Juan Martín Díaz and Pablo Cardona. With a diverse staff of occupational therapists, psychologists, speech therapists and physiotherapists providing individualized therapy, Casa Ángeles serves approximately 500 families and nearly 800 children.
