The popular game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” has been featuring celebrities this season, and in the latest episode, Rosie O'Donnell and Lisa Ann Walter were faced with a question where the answer was the Detroit Lions.
According to Edward Pebos of MLive.com, the question for the $64,000 prize asked the women, “Which NFL team officially wears blue uniforms, dubbed 'Honolulu Blue,' despite being located approximately 4,475 miles from Hawaii's capital city?”
Besides the Lions, which fans knew was the right answer, the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks were also in the running, and O'Donnell and Walter almost decided on the Cowboys before deciding to use the “call a friend” lifeline.
It was actor Michael Chiklis' daughter, Autumn, who “called a friend,” and she ultimately steered O'Donnell and Walter in the right direction.
“My dad was a football fanatic,” she said. “Lions. Lions, I think.”
O'Donnell decided to go with Autumn's answer, which of course was correct, which ultimately led them to the $500,000 question, where they ended the game and donated $250,000 to charity.
This is the second time in recent memory that the Lions have been featured on the popular game show: In June, Lions fan Darrell took to the stage at a game and then appeared on “Showcase Showdown,” wearing a nifty shirt that read, “I loved the Lions before they were popular.”
