Fashion's biggest names are ditching their usual jeans and shopping new skirt trends that return to the quiet luxury aesthetic that has long reigned supreme. As you'll see throughout my FYP, this season is shaping up to be “the summer of weird skirts.”

Lily Allen pioneered the trend last week with an Instagram post in which she styled a printed skirt with a colorful cartoon-inspired design on the front. With the bold skirt at the center of her look, Allen created a fun ensemble perfect for Italy's vibrant, flower-covered streets.
