Europe has been a celebrity hotspot this summer, and the Jordan family is no exception. Michael Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, have been traveling around Europe all month, visiting places like Barcelona and St. Tropez. After enjoying some fun on a yacht near the French Riviera, the couple headed to Portofino, Italy, where they were spotted enjoying a rare outing with their twin daughters. Victoria and Isabel,Ten.
On Monday, July 22, the family got dressed to the nines for a day outside. Michael looked fresh in olive shorts, a white bucket hat, matching t-shirts, and Nikes. The twins wore matching colorful two-piece outfits with white sneakers in classic twin fashion. Mama Prieto was similarly stylish in a bright two-piece outfit and gladiator sandals, perfect for a day on the boat.
At 6-foot-6 and surrounded by bodyguards, the 61-year-old retired athlete has a tough time going out without being recognized. Video of their outing shows fans with cellphones surrounding the family, taking pictures.
It can be annoying to be the center of attention when you're trying to spend time with your family, but luckily, once they reached port, they were able to board a boat and head out to sea, where the pair enjoyed a day alone together soaking up the sun, with the NBA legend even spotted smoking one of his favorite accessories: a cigar.
While the paparazzi can be annoying, the recognition can also be a special feeling. Earlier this month, Jordan and Prieto were dining in St. Tropez when the restaurant's saxophone player surprised Jordan by playing the Chicago Bulls' famous opening song. The kind gesture went viral, with Jordan seeming very happy with the surprise, clapping and smiling broadly.
We'll just have to wait and see where this famous family goes next.
