Here's a rundown of the eight biggest stars who attended the opening of the Paris Olympics.
It was only natural that the most decorated athlete in Olympic history was in attendance at the Paris opening ceremony: Phelps competed in five Olympic Games, winning 28 medals total, including 23 gold medals, before retiring after the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
