With all eyes on France during the 2024 Paris Olympics, celebrities are enjoying the festivities.
The Summer Olympics officially kicked off on Friday with an opening ceremony, attended by stars including John Legend, Chrissy Teigen and Ariana Grande.
Rain lashed the City of Light, but that didn't dampen the excitement of the athletes, who celebrated on board a flotilla of 85 boats sailing down the Seine – although not everyone was on board due to the bad weather.
“It was such a beautiful opening ceremony,” Teigen said in an Instagram Story posted while the ceremony was in progress. “I think we should have taken a speedboat. Where did we go before we left? Bolivia?”
Teigen's hair was visibly wet and she appeared to be in a car, as her husband Legend chimed in off-camera, “We actually just got to China. That was the last time.”

The Olympics will last for 16 days and there will be plenty of opportunities for celebrities to talk about the action from their homes and at the various sports stadiums.
Here are some highlights from the stars competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Lady Gaga performs in French at the opening ceremony
Mother Monster showed off her French singing skills at the opening ceremony by singing Gigi Jeanmaire's “Mon Truc En Plumes.”
Lady Gaga wore a Dior outfit and danced and played piano along the Seine in a French-inspired set.
“Though I am not a French artist, I have always felt a special connection to French people and singing French music,” Gaga wrote on X after the performance. “I wanted to create a performance that would warm the French heart, celebrate French art and music, and, on such a monumental occasion, remind everyone of Paris, one of the most magical cities on earth.”
Rosalia and Jeremy Allen White celebrate the eve of the Opening Ceremony
“Moto Mami” singer Rosalia and “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White, who have been rumored to be dating since the end of last year, attended a pre-event on the eve of the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.
The Spanish singer, who co-chaired the event alongside Charlize Theron, Serena Williams and actor Omar Sy, stunned at the Louis Vuitton Foundation Museum and Cultural Center in a sheer, floor-length lace gown by Christian Dior 2025. White also arrived at the event in an all-black Louis Vuitton outfit.
The pair, who are not publicly dating, showed their playful side at the event, with White focusing on winning prizes at a claw machine. In a video posted to Vogue's Instagram, Rosalia can be seen celebrating as she watches White try to win a mini football and a basketball.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend with their children Miles and Luna
Teigen and Legend brought their entire family to the Olympics, including their 6-year-old son Miles and 8-year-old daughter Luna, to the opening ceremony.
However, it appears the Teigen-Legend family didn't stick around until the hours-long event was over, and had to find a getaway car because of the rain.
After some back and forth on Teigen's Instagram Story, they revealed they made it to the Chinese delegation's boat before escaping.
