Following the sudden passing of rapper Chris King over the weekend, stars have taken to social media to pay their respects to the late host with heartfelt condolences.
King, whose real name was Christopher Cheeks, died in Saturday's shooting, according to a press release from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department. A 29-year-old man who was injured at the scene reported that he was playing with King and a group of his friends when three men approached the group and attempted to rob them. Gunfire erupted after the collision.
King was later found in the parking lot of the Hayes Street Hotel. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. He was 32 years old.
KiKi Palmer, who was friends with King when he was a member of the R&B group 2 Much, posted an old photo of herself and King on Instagram as a tribute.

Justin Bieber paid tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. on his Instagram Story on Saturday, according to People magazine and the Daily Mail. King previously revealed in an Instagram post in December that he and Bieber were once roommates.
