Among the major milestones that coincided with Prinze's tenure was WrestleMania 27, held on April 3, 2011. One of the most talked about matches from a media standpoint was a mixed tag team match between Dolph Ziggler, Layla, Michelle McCool and John Morrison. , Trish Stratus and Snooki from MTV's “Jersey Shore.” Although WrestleMania has attracted celebrities since the first edition, Prinze said he was not particularly a fan of the event because he felt it conflicted with the larger creative endeavor he was appointed to.

“I was there for Snooki. I fought it,” Prinze said. “There was a story that was approved… [to] It's like turning this Divas era into more women's wrestling. That was the job that Stephanie McMahon gave me… and someone in the production meeting said… “Snooki is interested in doing something at WrestleMania.'' I didn't think it was anything serious, I thought, “Yeah, she's going to host it or something?” And they say, “No, she wants to work, she wants to wrestle.” Immediately I get defensive and think, 'She's not wrestling with my girls.' I was responsible for taking care of them and writing something believable for them. 'And they said, 'Oh, she's going to do the storyline and she's going to work with Michelle McCool.' And I literally thought, “Oh, this is my champion!” And will she lose to Snooki at WrestleMania? Are you guys crazy? We're trying to get these people to take us seriously, and she's going to lose to a girl on a reality show? ” And they say, “She can do gymnastics.” And I thought, “Dude, that's amazing.” [but] She can't win the match. 'Sure enough, she can do gymnastics, and sure enough, she won the competition. ”

It would be another five years before WWE would abandon the term “Divas.” Prinze felt that Snooki's match did nothing positive for the women's movement.
“I was so frustrated…Right after WrestleMania, I was back to being a diva again, dancing and rocking my boots.”
