His comments came after a recent NBC News poll showed that Mr. Kennedy's campaign could actually undermine Mr. Trump's changes after returning to the White House.
In-person voting polls released Sunday showed Mr. Trump leading Mr. Biden by 2 points. However, with the addition of third-party candidates, the incumbent took the lead.
According to the Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters Polling Average Index, Biden and Trump's approval ratings were tied at 41.3 percent, taking Kennedy into account.
