This comes a year after Mr. Silver left ABC News.
Mr. Silver is the founder and former editor-in-chief of the political and statistical analysis site FiveThirtyEight, and one of Japan's leading election forecasters. He is a poker player whose lifetime winnings from his tournaments exceed his $800,000 and his upcoming book On the Edge is about gambling and risk.
Konnikova, who has a doctorate in psychology, inadvertently became a professional poker player during her studies, winning more than $500,000 in tournaments. Biggest bluff.
