Dr. E.J. and Margaret O'Brien Hall, home of the College of Business Administration, hosted a new scholar orientation and reception for All In Milwaukee, a local higher education nonprofit. 150 Milwaukee-area high school graduates attending one of her eight All-In Milwaukee University partner schools met with All-In's scholar advisors and admissions counselors to discuss paths to success in higher education.
“We are proud to welcome an organization that does so much for our local students,” said Tim Hanley, assistant dean of the James H. Keyes College of Business. “For more than a century, Marquette has enabled young people to have better opportunities for themselves and their families. All In Milwaukee is a college completion program that provides financial aid, advising, and career support to diverse Milwaukee students from low-income families. His 87% of all students in the program are first generation.
Marquette University is one of eight local schools affiliated with All In Milwaukee. Approximately 40% of program participants participate in the market.
A gift from the Jackson family allows Marquette University to support All-In Milwaukee students through the All-In Marquette University Completion Scholarship. Students admitted to the College of Nursing who apply for the All-In Milwaukee Scholarship are eligible to receive this award.
Marquette's commitment to provide more scholarships to Milwaukee's All-In students recently saw United Healthcare and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce donate $600,000 to support scholars across eight university partners That gave me a boost.
