Claims that the 81-year-old Biden was using drugs during his State of the Union address have become a hot topic on the American right, even though they are not based on any evidence.

“He can't stand under the lights that long, and I don't think he can keep a concept in his head that long,” he said on Fox News.
Fox News host Sean Hannity also called Biden “overcaffeinated.”
This is not the first time Trump has asked Biden to take a drug test.
He claimed that Biden had been “erratic” in the 2020 Democratic primary and said he would “strongly urge” a drug test before the debate for the White House that year.
“Vice President Biden intends to verbalize his answer to the debate. If the president believes his best evidence is in urine, he may do so,” Kate, Biden's deputy campaign manager, said at the time. Mr. Bedingfield replied.
“We cannot expect anything less from Donald Trump, who has ruined our chance to save 200,000 American lives by failing to develop a plan to stop the coronavirus. Sho.”
In the end, neither of them took a drug test.
