NEW DELHI: In a bid to expand their online reach, US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamal Harris are all set to hire a meme manager for their campaign in the upcoming US presidential elections.
According to the notice, candidates must be “committed to bringing political content to voters where they are online, have a deep interest in politics and thrive in a fast-changing environment.”
Additionally, candidates are required to operate from Biden's hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.
The Meme Master's main responsibilities include building relationships with prominent Internet producers, creating opportunities for interaction and encouraging “innovative ideas.”
Candidates should have two to four years of relevant experience, “exceptional creativity in content ideation and strategy development” and be aligned with the campaign's goals. Candidates should also have “the ability to maintain organizational skills,” according to the notice.
The role will require candidates to “work independently with external partners” to identify, secure and manage engagement opportunities, as well as “collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional partners to foster innovative ideas.”
